2CER commence work at Hope Centre
Australia is participating in the annual US-led humanitarian civic assistance mission Pacific Partnership 2010 (PP10). Twenty two ADF personnel have joined United States Navy Ship Mercy in Guam as the first of three separate Australian contingents to rotate through the region over the next three months.
The PP10 mission marks the fifth year of Australian support, and will provide engineering and medical assistance in Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia, East Timor and Papua New Guinea.
Aimed at strengthening international relationships and interoperability for disaster relief throughout South East Asia and Oceania, ADF personnel will be based out of USNS Mercy in Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia and East Timor. Additionally, RAN assets HMA Ships Labuan and Brunei will provide assistance with ship to shore movements in some countries.

Dutch Peace-keeping Operations Commemorative Medal
On 26 May 10 at 1100h, 13 Royal Australian Air Force Health Personnel previously deployed to the Dutch Role 2 Medical Treatment Facility, Tarin Kowt, Afghanistan in 2008, were presented with the Netherlands Peace-Keeping Operations Commemorative Medal (HVO), at Russell Offices, Canberra by Major General Simon Van Groningen Commandant of the Netherlands Defence Academy.
In attendance at the presentation was The Hon. Dr Mike Kelly AM MP, His Excellency, Mr Willem Andreae Ambassador to Australia for the Kingdom of the Netherlands and Air Marshal Mark Binskin AM, Chief of Air Force.

Operation Tor Ghar IV
Operation Tor Ghar IV, a major resupply mission between Tarin Kowt and Kandahar
that involved more than 200 Australian and Afghan soldiers, was recently
completed.
The resupply mission involved about 100 military vehicles carrying supplies such as food, water, and equipment from Kandahar to the Multinational Base in Tarin Kowt for distribution to troops across Oruzgan Province.
